what social media or networking tools are you either using or planning to use?

I have a plan to increasing my own use of social media channels including blogs, forum, Twitter and facebook. These websites may contain hyperlinks, images and links (to pages containing movies and music). Therefore, I have a chance to reach the great potential of these social medias to facilitate ease of connection, communication and understanding between individuals and organizations and use them to communicate with friends, to meet new friends, to create communities and networks, to search for information and news and to share ideas…Besides, I can build and promote my image without having to spend any fees. Furthermore, I can manage and run them without any particular or agency organizations. Especially, with the simple steps I can own the personal website and can be accessed anytime and anywhere.

Standing at a personal perspective, I see the social media impact to social life today such as you can update information across the world in your ten fingers, it's an amazing.  Importantly, it helps you to connect the relationships over the world, creating many opportunities for learning and development, improve personal knowledge.

At a business perspective, I see that the brand building, advertising, marketing and selling online ... these things absolutely need the mass social media. A lot of services become more convenient because people can enroll, apply to a job, transaction, book tickets or fares as well as perform various services through networking tools. These websites can help train personnel, coordination of the work, share knowledge and to allow other forms of support for any task.

However, it also has negative aspects; the new lifestyle appearances, the users of virtual space become stronger and more confident in their communication lead to "flippant", lack of respect for each other. And of course, the communication through machines cannot substitute completely for the relationship between individuals in the family and community. Moreover, the copyright issues, the information content censorship, the protection of young people from the pitfalls, and to preventing and eliminating harmful information is becoming more difficult and more complex. These are challenging problems that our society has to face today.

Photography and Ethic

Before

After

Resize: Width 640-500; Height: 480-375
Glitter text: No Matter Who You Are, I Still Love You
Text size: Small
Text angle: 17
Glitter: Red
Effect: Vignette and white/black.

Firstly, I had to resize the image to make it seem more balanced and active than the original image. Afterwards, I inserted the text, "No Matter Who You Are, I Still Love You." Its content in the picture has the ability to reflect the mood and deliver my message across. By having the font red and small, it aids the picture by giving it a harmonious, and sharper look. Furthermore, it gives off the feeling of the image as being somewhat balanced between the mood of the photographer and the scene being taken, which is dawn.

A photo is absolutely better after editing it according to your liking. In this case, the edited photo looks more attractive and more natural. It is capable of conveying many messages and the content of my interests whereas the imaging process cannot…Not only that, it also helps us adjust the brightness, resolution, colour, texture ... etc.

Before
After

Effects: sepia and shearing and grey border
Text: The First Day of New Year 2010
Text angle: 11 (small size)
Glitter text: I Will Be There Beside You

This image was taken on the first day of 2010, displaying the vast space of the beach during dawn. This time period holds the last memory of the time spent watching the sunrise with my best friend. During my time of reminiscing, I carefully edited the photo according to the steps stated above. I adjusted the color of the space. As a result, it reminded me of the moments in the past being sweet and deep. The text, "I Will Be There Beside You," is inserted to the photo. This delivers the message that I want to convey to him (kind of a little love and promise).

In both pictures, we can see that they are truly more beautiful after being edited. Edited images makes them look more attractive and conveys many messages/content of my interests, which are not present in many original images process. By editing a photo, it helps us adjust the brightness, and colour layout to our liking. Due to the editing, the photo has the ability to attract the audience by triggering their curiosity and interest (attracting them to the scene of nature and the effects of this photo). Furthermore, it demonstrates many other interesting experiences that the original image cannot offer. In a way, editing a photo can be misleading and non misleading. It is not misleading because it aids in delivering a specific message. But, it is misleading due to the fact that we changed the photo to the point where it's not the real scene itself (original appearance).

The photograph editing is an art and the space between use and abuse that results in misleading can be very fragile. Basically, it depends on the user's purpose. After editing, if the content of the picture falsifies in order to create misunderstanding in a negative direction toward the audience (seeking for profiteering), I think there is a need to condemn this action.
In reverse, if the photo editing to contribute to the photo in a more effective way than original image and does not change the message and its contents, I think it is acceptable.

What concern you the most about social media?

We can say that now there have many new social media creeping around and while giving people the opportunity to have a better life, they also pose challenges for many people.
As an individual, i see the modern media, specially Mobiphone and internet are the common means for communications, learning, trade, exchange, connect everyone each other, open social net working...the can meet information needs and entertainment. These means can shorten the geographical distance, interaction with more people at increasingly faster speeds. The internet is also use for the intercontinental conference (tele-conference), the overall project operating online and distance learning program (e-learning) at all levels...
As a future business manager, I find the social media is an opportunity that connects between organizations, businesses with customers. Quickly access and directly will contribute building long term and potential relationships, easy to approach ideas, market demands through customers' feedback. However, it's a difficult that business face because of high competition, most competitor want to obtain reliable location for social media to build and protect the good image of yourself in order to hold the large number of customers.
Social media help circulation and transport currency, this is an opportunity to help for the operation of the economy in general and businesses in particular, can expand the economy in and out country (economic global), market commercial becomes easier.
Business can advertise and build brand through the mass media with low cost even sometimes free, easy to find a big target customer, expand market.
Many companies have restrictions on the store premises, places and product display area, if they promote the introduction of the product through media communication well, they are still achieved higher sales.
Moreover, it helps for the exchange and connect between the parts of the company, creating internal solidarity, easy to management of personnel, goods and services, access to suppliers...Besides, social media helps building relationships and communications between manager/leader and staffs via email, yahoo, facebook, feedback, skype...
After all, the social media as a means of searching, connecting, exchanging, learning and it's a fast and the best way to building brand.

Can Art be mechanically reproduced?

When we think of art, we think about creativity and imagination. It is a form of self-expression that captures and expresses the artist emotions, experiences and personal views on subjects. Reproductions of that form of art, be that painting, photographs...is just a way to make the original more famous, widely but it's not art, because it is a copy from an original. Mechanical reproducibility has a great impact on the society because in that way we can appreciate a good copy of something that is truly artistic. We are in erea of digital reproduction, there have the advanced technology and ability to reproduce an image of the original. There's no longer an orginal, since there have been so many copies, it's so difficult to tell the difference between the original and replica.
Photography is both a tool used by artists and a contribution to art. Photography is more than just taking pictures, it is about capturing the raw and unique moments that can't not be created unless of course it is forced, but even then the moment itself would never be the same the original shot its. Photography can also be a contribution to arts. The advancement of digital technology has allowed photos to be manipulated in ways that further express the artist's creative ideas.
Henry Pitch Robinson created Fading Away by using the five negatives in this one photo. It show the girl dying and depressed her family members surrounding her. Robinson created this picture to portray the true and painful human experiences the family had to go through "the life is going on".
Mechanical production has created revolution for digitalizing art and photography. Digitalizing is becoming more common and everyone is depend on the computer or online website or Ms photoshop to edit images, videos..as what you like. Whether it's to change the contrast, brightness, sharpness and quality of picture.
